New to D&D?
Start with what you have. Borrow a book, find free resources online, and use pencil and paper for character sheets. You do not need everything on day one to run a first game.
First dice set?
Cheap, readable, and replaceable beats pretty and protected. Start with the Starter Hoard.
Want the showpieces?
